The past days, these celebrities were on my mind for totally unrelated reasons:
Angelina Jolie is the new model of Louis Vuitton, and where else would she have this picture taken but in Siem Reap, Cambodia? The ad says “A single journey can change the course of a life.” Clever, right? Maybe, except that I have an issue with LV and Cambodia being discussed in one sentence. But then considering how much help Angelina has extended to the Cambodians, I’m willing to forget what’s wrong with this picture.
I didn’t even know Kyra Sedgwick is married to Kevin Bacon until I saw his Piers Morgan interview where he said that he first met her when she was 12 years old and then they met again ten years later and he instantly knew she was The One. They’ve been married for 21 years which is a lifetime by Hollywood standards. I’m a pretty jaded person when it comes to matters of the heart, but hearing someone like Kevin Bacon (think Murder in the First and A Few Good Men) say something like that— that was enough to make me believe in love (or men!) all over again.
Two things I love about Angel Locsin: 1) She’s morena. 2) She has a nice body because she works hard for it. So unlike other actresses who are mestiza and naturally petite, Angel’s relatability rate is pretty high. Which is why when my personal trainer told me that he can make me look like Angel Locsin if I’m diligent enough with my fitness program, I immediately said “Game!” Haha. Actually, what I wanted to say was: Trainer ka lang, hindi magician. But what the hey? If deluding myself into thinking that I can be like Angel is the way to motivate me, then I’m all for it. Maybe I’ll pose like this too as soon as I achieve my goal. Or maybe, my own (young) husband will finally come. Haha. Ang corny but come on, you knew that was coming. 😉
